Diesel locomotive V 200 of the DB – kit made from LEGO® bricks

Spherical, round front section, striking V-shaped bib – even beginners can easily recognize the V 200 diesel locomotive. It was built in the 1950s and represents the blossoming economic miracle like no other.

The V 200 locomotives were a hit and hauled express trains on all major main routes until the advancing electrification and increasing train loads proved their undoing. The ladies began to suffer and got on their owners' nerves with their high maintenance costs. In 1977 they were finally decommissioned and the last example was taken out of service in 1984.

This kit contains the LEGO® bricks for a model of the German Federal Railway's V 200 diesel locomotive. The building instructions are not included in the kit. You can find these in the book "Building LEGO locomotives!" by Gabriele Ruthsatz and me.

Please note: The electrical components required to operate the locomotive (motor, battery box and IR receiver) are not included in the kit. However, bricks are included as replacements for the electrical components where they are required for structure/appearance.

I also offer a version of this model with 3 straight track pieces and a nameplate. This version is suitable, for example, if the model is to have a place of honour in the display case.
