If you don't know exactly what to imagine when you think of a bread and butter locomotive, then take a V 100 diesel locomotive. In the 1960s, this faithful and frugal locomotive replaced steam locomotives, primarily on non-electrified branch lines.
The V 100 benefited from experience with the V 80, for example through improved cardan shafts. Until the good, diesel-hydraulic workhorse was eventually technically outdated and taken out of service. However, some examples are still in use on various private and heritage railways today, even after 2004.
- Number of original LEGO® bricks: 413
- Dimensions of the model: 23.8 x 5.6 x 8.6 cm
This kit contains the LEGO® bricks for a model of the DB V 100 diesel locomotive. The building instructions are not included in the kit. You can find these in the book "Building LEGO locomotives!" by Gabriele Ruthsatz and me.
Please note: The electrical components required to operate the locomotive (motor, battery box and IR receiver) are not included in the kit. However, bricks are included as replacements for the electrical components where they are required for stucture and/or appearance.
I also offer a version of this model with 3 straight track p a nameplate. This version is suitable, for example, if the model is to have a place of honour in the display case.
