A successful series in the General Motors lineup, the Chevrolet Nova was the third generation of a car originally called the Chevy II. This name was dropped in 1969 and the iconic bowtie emblem was mounted above the front grille. Production of this model ran from 1967 to 1974. The revised design included a longer wheelbase (2.82 m) than its predecessor and a front subframe to accommodate the drivetrain and front suspension. It was equipped with a V8 engine, dual exhaust system and rear-wheel drive. In 1970, 315,122 units of the Nova series were produced.
This car model was requested by a colleague at the Winterfeldt market. The biggest challenge in constructing the model was to reproduce the bodywork as accurately as possible, taking into account the limited availability of dark blue bricks. Incidentally, it is the first car I have developed in LEGO in this format.
- Number of original LEGO® bricks: 684
- Dimensions of the model: 22.8 x 11.2 x 7.4 cm
