American automaker Chevrolet produced its instantly recognizable Bel Air between 1949 and 1980. The model we reproduced – from 1959 – was the fourth of eight generations introduced during that long period. The 1957 model was the most popular of all. Notably, the Chevrolet Bel Air was used by both law enforcement and criminals (see my recreation of the car used by the Olsen Gang).
The model is available in two variants, reproducing the emergency service vehicles of the fire station and police chiefs, and with or without the matching minifigure: Chief Pete or Chief Mandy. Please note that the torso of the Fire Chief figure shown differs slightly from the actual figure delivered.
