Pick-up and tent – on the road with Vancity Adventure

Canadian Daryl Berden is actually a graphic artist and owner of the construction company Ridgewater Homes. But the COVID pandemic also turned him into a part-time adventurer. Together with his son Cayden and pug Tosha, he explores the Canadian province of British Columbia under the name Vancity Adventure.

What began as an escape from everyday life and stress quickly developed into a journey of self-awareness, testing of personal boundaries and an experience that brought the family closer together. There is more to life than, says Daryl, "the addiction to technology and smart devices", namely nature!

Daryl, Cayden and Tosha travel in their Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, sleep in a tent on their pickup truck, wherever they like. You can follow them on their YouTube channel or on other social media platforms. You can watch the video in which Daryl and Cayden present this kit model there.

I developed the model from original LEGO® bricks in minifigure format, matching the other models in the "Van Life" category. The tent can be lifted off the loading area, the tailgate closed, and the journey can begin with a different load. Gel selected the figures representing Daryl, Cayden and Tosha from the huge range of commercially available minifigures.

This kit contains the LEGO® bricks for a model of the pick-up truck including building instructions and figures to recreate Daryl, Cayden and Tosha.
