Snecma Atar 09C engine – kit from LEGO® bricks

The French were much slower to develop jet engines than their competitors, but the Atar put the manufacturer Snecma on the right track in the early 1950s. The Atar 09B finally made it possible to reach Mach 2.2. Its successor, the Atar 09C with afterburner, was used to power the Dassault Mirage. This fighter plane, in the Dassault Mirage IIIO version, is available from us.
