Renault 4 F6 – kit from LEGO® bricks

The Renault 4, known as the "R4" for short, was launched in 1961 and remained in the range until 1991 due to its success as the French "people's car". Over eight million units were sold in these 31 years, many of them in Germany. Renault was Germany's leading car importer for the first time in 1970, not least due to the compact family car.

It was therefore not long before the many small tradesmen were presented with a small van tailored to their needs. Vehicles of the VW Bulli, Renault Estafette and similar models from other manufacturers were too big and too expensive for some, and Citroën had already been enjoying success with the panel van since 1951. In 1965 the R4 F4 appeared, which was based on the platform of the normal R4, and in 1975 the 20 cm longer F6 was added.

We owe the model that is now in my range to the friend of a Berlin master chimney sweep who wanted to give him a special gift.
