Northrop-Grumman B-2 Spirit – kit from LEGO® bricks

The B-2 Spirit is the most notorious and at the same time most expensive stealth bomber of the United States Air Force.

As early as the beginning of the 1970s, DARPA, an organization for researching new technologies, began developing a new type of aircraft. The American armed forces envisioned a fighter aircraft with extraordinary stealth properties. In terms of safety, altitude and speed were to be secondary.

After years of concept development involving various manufacturers, Northrop won the tender with the radical approach of a flying wing, which was presented to the public in 1988 and subsequently went into series production.
