Giant panda – kit from LEGO® bricks

The giant panda is a shy herbivore and lives exclusively in the mountainous regions of central China. There are also breeding stations in China and a few specimens in various European zoos.

Nevertheless, the panda bear is extremely well-known and popular, not least because of its cute appearance. Word has spread that this cute fellow has serious teeth. People have been bitten several times when they mistook the panda for a cuddly bear.

However, the giant panda prefers to chew bamboo shoots, up to 40 kilograms a day. When meat is required, small vertebrates and caterpillars are on the menu. The bear, which weighs up to 160 kilograms, is a highly endangered species, but the Chinese government takes its protection very seriously.
