Spacious, handy, economical – the appearance is not important. These were the specifications given by the Citroën director for a new vehicle in 1934. The designer succeeded in implementing the specifications perfectly, including in terms of appearance.
When the Citroën 2CV was finally introduced in 1948, the initial plans had been revised and improved. Nevertheless, the trade press only smiled mildly. A Dutch journalist even dared to compare it to an ugly duck. But the triumph of the minimalist anti-status symbol could not be stopped.
Between 1949 and 1990, over five million 2CVs rolled off the assembly line as sedans or vans.
- Number of original LEGO® bricks: 250
- Dimensions of the model: 14.3 x 6 x 6.6 cm
This kit contains the LEGO® bricks for a model of the Citroën 2CV in red. The building instructions are not included in the kit . You can find these in Peter Blackert's book "How to Build Brick Cars", but for the red and black Charleston version. Building the red version, which was created at a customer's request, requires a little rethinking.
