The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 was a super sports car made in France that rolled onto the streets from 2005 to 2015. It broke several speed records. The manufacturer is the Volkswagen Group, which acquired the Bugatti brand rights in 1998.

It is not easy to find a road on which the fast racing car can be driven. With its 8-liter engine, 16 cylinders and 1,000 hp, it can reach a top speed of 408 kilometres per hour.

There is no consensus on how many Veyrons were actually produced. The figures vary between 300 and 450. The purchase price for a new car was 1.3 million euros. According to VW, there were no plans to make a profit; it was purely an image project in terms of "technical competence".

The car’s undeniable beauty inspired numerous special editions with such evocative names as “Pur Sang” (thoroughbred) or “Soleil de Nuit” (Sun of the Night).
